How do you guys edit your videos?

When it comes to video editing, I think many people do it on a computer, but now not only can you easily edit videos on your smartphone, but there are also apps that support high-quality editing functions.

“VivaVideo” and “InShot” are popular apps that are highly rated in the app store. Clips and iMovie provided by Apple are also famous.

Therefore, I would like to introduce "CapCut" this time. Equipped with a full range of editing functions that improv

e the quality of videos such as BGM, animation, and filters.

In this article, we will explain how to edit videos, from the basic operations of CapCut to practical usage.

What is CapCut

CapCut is a video editing app provided by Bytedance Inc.

ByteDance is a well-known IT company behind many popular apps such as TikTok, Ulike, and BuzzVideo. The head office is located in Beijing, China.

With CapCut, you can add background music and sound effects to your videos, add text, or just arrange still images to create a video.

It is an easy-to-use app that supports basic editing functions and is easy to use even for beginners.

• Select a video or image and tap   [Add].

• Wipe size can be adjusted by   pinching in and pinching out.

• For other adjustments, select from the menu at the bottom of the screen.

If you want to split the screen and display two or three screens and multiple videos at the same time, you can apply the above picture-in-picture.

For example, it can be used to fit the game screen and the person playing on the same screen, or to fit videos taken in different places on the same screen.

• Tap [Add Inset Synthesis].

• Select a video or image and tap   [Add].

• Adjust size and position.

• Repeat steps 1 to 3 to add multiple   videos and images.

The original video or image will be the background, so if you don't want to project anything, add a black image. Insert the image you want to display on it and synthesize (picture-in-picture).

Adjust the brightness

If the video is difficult to see or too bright, adjust the brightness.

• Select a clip.

• Tap [Adjustment] ⇒ [Brightness].

• You can adjust the brightness with   the slider.

Change playback speed. Double speed, slow playback

Let's change the playback speed to add sharpness to the video.

For example, if you want to show people's reactions carefully or if you want to see something that moves quickly, you should slow it down, or if the same scene continues for a long time, speed up the editing so that the viewer doesn't get bored. It is often seen that

• Select a clip.

• Tap [Shift] ⇒ [Normal]. (If you select   [Curve], you can choose your   favorite  pattern for the change in   speed.)
